Im at the Six Month Mark!!‏

Hello everyone!!! Happy New Year!
So sorry about not writing - shortly after I talked to you guys, I discovered that the only place to do emails in Kure (thats missionary appropriate) is closed on Mondays. Except on Holidays (like today) I wont be able to email you guys. Which means that either until April or I transfer out of here I wont be able to see your guys` emails either. Bummer, but time is going so fast that its hard to catch up with it all. S
O here`s how Kure is doing:
The area is awesome. There are some good investigators to work with, and I was able to participate in the confirmation of a recent convert my first Sunday here named Sister Kubou. It was great and it reminded me of James confirmation: the same feeling of helping someone receiving the blessings of the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost is something that doesnt compare. She is doing good, but her trials have started and we are working closely with her to comfort and aid her in whatever way needed. Her brother passed away and shes having dificulties, but we know that she can gain a strong testimony by looking for the answers to her questions in the Book of Mormon and through sincere prayer.
The first Sunday here we went to Hiro, a neighboring town that has a lot of `gaijin`s or foreigners, especially Brazilians. As we housed, my companion, Elder Schramm , said `lets go house that big gray building, theres bound to be Brazilians there.` Well, sure enough the building is full of them! We found an investigator couple (who we taught twice and progressed, but went back to Brazil because the wife couldnt find work - all in two weeks!) and some other strong Potential Investigators. We have also been working with the members a lot, and one of the member`s parents, who have been listening to the lessons for a while, were taught by us and they said that they know that they need to be baptized. With the member (Brother Tsubonaka) we made a baptismal date for the 3rd of March and were hoping to introduce it to them this friday or sunday, when we teach them again. Then we also have a pretty young investigator (hes 14, and way cool kid), who accepted the Book of Mormon and the challenge, and we are hoping to baptize him soon, and reactive hi mom at the same time.
We have been extremely blessed here, but its easy to look the other way when we are constantly getting rejected and ignored on the streets and when we go housing. Its been trying, but Im trying to be really patient with everything thats going on, and on the other hand weve got a lot of things going on, and the key is being patient when we are not teaching so that we can see miracles when we are teaching. And part of that patience is working hard and trusting God. Recently I read from Mosiah 24:11-17 and it touched me because of the fact that faith and patience are inseperable. So if we trust God, with faith and patience, He WILL comfort us and WILL deliver us out of our trials. But notice that He will comfort first then as we are patient we can be delivered. Interesting how it works, huh? So its a principle that Ive been slowly learning, but which has been blessing me and the work.
As far as the adress goes, its pretty much how its been written down.

Hiroshima-ken Kure-shi
Takara-machi 3-20
Takara-machi Manshon 201

The Japanese arent too fussy about format and stuff, so as long as everything is written down correctly, it will get here. I`m working on some letters too and Ill send them along with a full memory card. I was able buy another one at a ridiculous $5!! Its a full 1Gb and so Ill keep it then have you guys send the other one back eventually.
Sounds like there are a lot of changes happening soon, Im scared that I wont have a home by the time I get back!! Haha just kidding, but it will be weird to be somewhere completely different though. BTW, how is James, no ones talking about the little guy anymore, how is he? i miss my lil` buddy!
But yeah thats about it, Ill send some more emails to last for a bit, but if you guys have sent something recently, I havent got it yet. Dont worry about writing back thorugh email, cuz obviously I wont be able to read it, but you can always dearelder.com it for the time being (if youre like me and likes typing better!). But, Ill do better about writing, I love you guys and miss you! You are all amazing Sons and Daughters of the Most High God, dont forget that! I love you guys!
Love,

Mourao Chourou.

No email :(

It's been almost 2 weeks since we have received an email from Elder Mourao. We don't know at this point if he's just been too busy, or if it's because of the transfer and he no longer has a computer where he can write to us.
Unfortunately, we also don't have his new address in Kure so we can't write him any letters. We'll post his email as soon as we receive it, as well as his new address.
Thanks!

Obrigada!
